He can't spend more than $50. He wants a pair of in-ears for use with his iPod, un-amped. He mostly listens to hip-hop, so good bass would be nice. Thanks in advance.

ohh.. well for the ipod id say the Nuforce NE-6, for an iphone the ne-7m.

Also the RE2, and if he can afford to drop more, the RE0 for $79 is a steal..

Also other great selections would be the Klipsch S4, or S2 would be perfect price at $49.99 free shipping at amazon

Or the Yuin PK3 if he doesnt need In ear. they are great phones.

Nuforce NE-6, Maximo Im-590, Meelectronics Ai-M6.

RE2s don't have nearly enough bass for hip-hop. Even the RE0s might be a little too bass-shy.
