I was thinking keyboard solos in guitar-based rock as opposed to predominantly keyboard music

A lot out there, however, my favorite is DT's Jordan...He is the man...He can play his @ss off. I never get tired of Live At Budokan and watching him in action.....Good stuff and really gets into it....

yeah it's cheesy 80's rock but the first thing that popped in to my head was Kansas "point of no return"

Edit: on a more serious note, either Baba O'Reily or Love Reign O'er Me by the Who. The intro is actually sampled piano played on a synth.
