a redbook in an old fashion regular cd

alright more impressions...

Etiquette mode - This reduces mechanical sounds of the player and basically kills schock protection and makes blips when its sitting on my lap playing a redbook. however with mp3 wma cds it doesnt seem to be a problem and be almost skip resistant. except if you skae it at the beginning of a track it wont start untill you stop

Normal mode - half decent mode it skips still if you shake it w/ a redbook but if its still or a mp3/wma cd it shouldnt...

iRiver ShockFree mode [default] - i havent had really any serious problems... if you shake it it like mad within the first like 2 seconds of the song it might skip a bit (w/ a redbook) its skipless the rest of the song. Also this mode is REALLY loud... it sounds like the cd is being all scratched up (actually mainly when playing redbooks and upon startup), it kinda makes me scared...

i burnt an MP3/WMA CD and it plays really well like all other imp players. i also upgraded the fw and it worked seemlessly. haha now theres a snake game

ill comment on the sound later i gotta go...
