I'm looking for some good (preferably in-ear) headphones with a cost under $30 that would work well with my heavy metal-clad Sandisk Clip+. I listen to music like Opeth, Meshuggah, Finntroll, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, but also Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Serj Tankian, System of a Down and a lot more. Can you please suggest some good, cheap earbuds/headphones for all types of metal? Thanks in advance.

But are they surely better than other cheap earbuds? I'm most likely going to buy from Amazon.com, so some phones with a list price over $30 may actually be sold for much less. For example, the Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds' list price is $49.95 but is being sold at $20.37.

I'd look for something less muddy and more treb than the marshmallows. Be a guinea pig and try the JVC FXC50 with it hd micro driver. Or the altec lansing UHP606 one of the cheapest BA driver earphone.

IMO, the CX300 are garbage and when it comes to metal and the Marshmallows are too harsh at the high end. You can do much better for $30 - look at the Meelectronics Ai-M9, Soundmagic PL21, or even the higher-end JVC Airushions. The HA-FXC50 are a bit too bright for metal, but I haven't given them proper burn-in time yet.
