Anywhere in Chicago is fine by me. So long as the area isn't dangerous especially if we go out late at night!

thank you yan and everyone, so i will be calling Skokie Holiday Inn monday, knowing them from the past i will be expecting to sign up a room within the week then a call from them again telling me they forgot the room reservation...its like an old girlfriend relationship with me and skokie Holiday inn..but its a good thing.
after the contract is signed and paid i will then post a Official event thread and pm all of you, regardless of what happens monday i will let you all know either way!
Given the low amount raised through raffles at last year's meet, do you anticipate a fee this year to be sure the room expense is covered?
I agree some level of fee is fine as no one should be out for the cost of the room. Too bad no one has access to a hall that may be more reasonable than a hotel conference room.
I was kind of hoping some funds would be swaggered from canjam back to chiunifi, you know Chicago politicians way of doing the books..haha
i always tried to keep it free for members, any meet/event i held, its more pride then anything. the skokie room cost is $375 though. and i totally agree with you about wishing someone had a hall, i actually of dreamed of it..
Nope. KGSSHV. I'm going to try to get the layout on the chassis finished tomorrow, then
order enough material for a single chassis. Nelson Pass style chassis with internal
mounting beams. The custom extrusions are too much work.
Have you thought about contacting the Chicago Audio Society and see if they would be interested in a joint meeting? I think that is how last weeks CanFest in Charolette got started.
