got a question for anyone with triplefi 10 custom reshells.

i find them pretty harsh using anything but foam tips. with the foam tips i absolutely love the sound of them. will the customs have the same sound signature of the triplefi 10s w/ the stock tips?

In my opinion the Triple-fi were so uncomfortable that I could never concentrate on the quality of the sound.  I kept going back to them because I thought the sound was good but the experience of wearing them got in the way of the sound.  Now that I have the custom I am very satisfied.  So satisfied that I opened the wallet and invested in an amp and a dock.  I should have the dock by the end of the week.  I am listening now using a 3.5 to 3.5; not optimal but I couldn't wait.  I will wait to make further comments until I am closer to complete and get a chance to seriously listen.

iPod 5th --> Fiio L-9 dock (coming) ----> Hotaudio DV-1 ---->TF-10 (InEarz)

I never even heard back from Fisher Hearing about my own reshell questions. Shrugs. I'm leaving the county at the end of this month, so I suppose I wont do the reshell until I return.

If we headfiers plan to do the reshell and with fisher; we'd have to contact them and talk about a group buy directly with fisher. It could be easily set up in that way and we'd submit our information directly to fisher under the group buy (by phone I presume). Regardless if this comes to fruition or not, I plan on going through with the custom mold. I really do enjoy them enough to do so and for a reasonable price that is. But hey, since it seems so many are interested in going through with the remolds, it doesn't hurt to notify Fisher of our intentions. And of course they are a business and are looking forward to making a profit at that.

I believe someone called them already, and we got a deal, but we can't post anything on the remolds in the group buy sections because I think Jude is still in the process of reviewing the post.

I don't see why they don't just let us go through with the group buy, it seems everyone but ONE is on board with the idea. I plan on going through with it either way, and I found a doctor near me who provides free impressions if you get a full ear check up. But I was wondering what type on impression(open/closed) I need for Fisher and is it the same for all?

You'd probably be best served by contacting Fisher. Since Fisher is aware of the group buy just let them know you are in and we'll see how many join in through that route. I'll have to search for an audiologist to do my impressions as well. Hopefully I can find one that is reasonable. Don't want to be paying Beverly Hills prices now :wink:.

i think someone should try to organize something via email. get a rough headcount and then let fisher know.  it seems fisher isnt willing to play jude's game so a group buy probably wont happen on here.

Contact Fisher!! They give you instructions to hand to the audiologist. I recommend having the directions before calling any audiologist so you can make sure he/she has the supplies required on Fishers sheet. Always contact Fisher first, they even have some recommended places they can give you. They gave me a place here in Renton Wa. basically where I'm at. Call them on the phone, they are sometimes slow with email.
