Okay you probably think that i'm nuts by now, i ended up selling my AKG K142 HD, i threw away my old Sony headphones and then, Oh surprise! I bought some IEMs. Normally i hate IEMs because i have some sort of rubber allergy or something and it just hurts my ears but with the Shure SE210 everything changed, they have these awesome foam things and are very comfortable. I am a bit worried about the solidity of the cable but it seems decent event though its quite thin. The cable for the extension is a bit bigger and is about 80cm long or something. The Sound quality... How can i describe this feeling? I think there's only one word to define how these IEMs sound: WOW.
The sound is clear, not too bassy, not too metallic, no too anything, they are perfectly calibrated and sound good with everything i've listened too on my iPod. (I tested: Nina Simone's "Feeling Good", Pixie Lott's "Boys and Girls", Mozart's "Don Giovanni", Ray Charles' "I got a woman", The Platters "Twilight Time", Arthur Brown's "Fire", Tome Jones' "Delilah")

My conclusion? I don't know how these sound with other devices but if you want sound isolating IEMs that sound great with your iPod Classic (I didn't test it on any other devices yet), then the Shure SE210 will please you. Yes, some would say "Its better than sex"*. Bottom line, i really liked these which i bought for about 140 Euros at my local Hi Fi store.

Okay this was my first review ever, sorry if i sounded very commercial its just i don't know how to describe the awesome feeling i've had when i tried these on.

Edit: Haha, the isolation really works, i was waiting for the plumber and he rang at my door several times and even banged against the door (Which is in the same room than i am in) and i did not hear him at all with these headphones in my ears.

Judging from what people have said about the SE210, they lack even more bass then the SE110 which are terrible in the bass department. They're so anemic from my experiences and there's nothing spectacular about the sound. The only good part would be the isolation.

I had the SE210's and the only thing I liked about them was the mid range and the isolation. The Philips SHE9850 has a very similar sounding midrange but with better soundstage, much better bass response, and better treble (using foam tips). They go for about 65 euros.

You will discover even more once you move up the chain (especially up to where the triple drivers standing today). I had some E3C's long long time ago and I found them lacking in treble and bass badly. The isolation was the most wonderful thing they gave me though.

I paid 142 Euros for them. And the bass doesn't disturb me, in fact the lack of bass makes them perfect for me since my ears are more sensible to bass than normal ears, so a strong bass wouldn't be good at all for me. I'm sorry i just realised i had forgotten to mention that. After wearing them for 3 hours i must say they are quite comfortable once you fitted them in properly, i would say my ears get very hot though, but that's because they're IEMs i guess.

Its what you hear not what anyone else does that matters. Have fun with them, they were my 2nd step in iems, the first being the e3c. Try getting a cmoy or something for them, it really rounds them out.

unless im mistaken but arent shure iems one of the more thicker cables? i have the e3 and e4 and they are easily the thickest ive had.

i use the e3 as my portable while i save up to buy for ie7 and they do a good enough job..for now

as long as you like the iem's thats all that matters although thats a pretty high price for those

I didn't like the 210's at all, but as other have said glad you are happy with your purchase.
I do think you paid far too much though, bearing in mind exchange rates how much you paid could almost get you some se420's in the uk

I'm Listening to mine right now. Powered by my Shellbrook Super Mini Moy they sound pretty darn good. Hooked direct to an ipod I think they have a very AM radio kind of sound. But I rarely use them anymore because I very much prefer the ER6i and even the Sony EX? that came with the A726. The Shures are comfy & isolate well though. They are also super handy hooked to my iphone with the griffin click mic i bought.

The only thing I like about Shure IEMs is their ability to give you a more-than-decent level of sound isolation. You can wear Shure for hours without even tiring your ears.

Other than that...naaaah.
