Anyone else get mad when people refer to iem's as "earbuds?"

I think it's worse when you have people who claim to know audio say things like Creative Labs sound cards rock!

I very rarely get mad.
When I do it certainly is not over one/those who refer to IEMs as earbuds...

don't argue with people who doesn't know nor care to know these terminology it is a waste of time and health

I'm a conservative, so I probably have some of the same viewpoints as you, but that seriously has NOTHING to do w/ the topic at hand. I'd rather waste my engery on headphone terminology than politics. I DEFINITELY don't have the energy for that.

phones is usually an encompassing term I like to use.
doesn't bother me when someone refers to something wrong..not everyone is an earphone expert or has any inclination towards correct terms and stuff..
its like a car enthuiast getting mad at someone calling the head gasket a headthingymebob.
I do often question friends when they say they are after a pair of headphones and can I make a recommendation..because 9/10 they are really after some earphones and if I was to go start recommending PortaPro's and Grado's and the like I'd look like a prize plonker

Sorry to break up the political infighting but I'm going to stick with the OP's original question.

I don't get mad over earbuds & iem confusion. Just isn't worth it. But having the coffee shop mix-up my muffin order infuriates me!

It's a little mis-leading (thogh probably not intentional) and may make some web searches a little longer, but other than that it doesn't bother/effect me.

Well, isn't an earbud one that rests in your ear whereas IEMs stick inside the ear canal? But there are Skullycandy 'earbuds' that look in the picutre just like my RE0....
