I've heard that it's bad to wrap headphone cables around an iPod? Is there any truth to that?

My Sony headphones came with a wrappy thingy to make the cable shorter and I was wondering if it would damage the headphones.

Ultimately, you're going to fatigue wires by wrapping and unwrapping them a lot. Keep it to a minimum. Or try braided cables. Man, braided cables. Everything should be like those Westone cables.
