otherwise known as £20, till i get £60

thanks for the inputs on the other thread.

here goes next

does anyone have input on
Sennheiser UK - CX 380 Sport II
?

not that im a senn junkie, but have to start somewhere

they are more expensive than the CX500's (has been recommended elsewhere) for now without too much headache i just want 'something' otherwise i'm gonna be deciding on £60 iem's till xmas, unless some nice shop could have them all lined up for me to test

i might quite like something with the ear loops, but the Sennheiser UK - OMX 80 Sport II only appears to be an ear bud.

or does anyone know of a good iem with ear loops?

or hey a comparison chart of sub £20 and sub £60 which might match what i'm looking for... (looks/ear loop/bass>quality) (altho it's a small > )

the snazzier colour is the main reason to pick the first above, over the CX500's. would kinda like something good to look at.

for something over £50 at a later date i've half-gone thro all the recommendations from the prev thread (monster turbine, klipsch, etc)

i guess for £15, can't really go wrong with the cx500's?... altho wouldn't mind paying £20 for something better

Take a look at the Soundmagic PL30 and PL21. Two very different earphones, both far superior to the CX300 (the only CX i've tried). Both come in three different color choices and should easily fit within your budget, shipping included. Also, both come with optional rubber ear hooks, similar to the Phonak cable guides see here. The PL21 is more bassy and fun-sounding, with a more conventional fit (can be worn straight down). The PL30 is a bit more neutral and has an over-the-ear design.

so did you just order a set from the uk?

I got them from a head-fier who in turn got them from hifiheadphones.co.uk. Shipping was about £10 for him.

Those PL30s on ebay look fine, but it may be cheaper to order them directly from a HK store such as mp4nation.net, focalprice.com, or dealperfect.com.

if i put this Genuine Sound Magic PL30 Professional in Ear Earphones up, is that a really bad idea

There's actually four - Jazz, Rock, Pop, and Classical.

I feel sorry that I am hijacking Quartz's thread, but I we could learn from comparison of these versions. I know they would have different sound signatures but I wonder how they compare to each other. Jazz and Classical are currently piking my interest.

altho as you do when you rewind, the PL21's might have stronger bass. but i'd be kicking for not going for the PL30's if i did that
