Well guys...you led me to my purchase of my 280's and now i need something for portable use. I keep my 280's at my house, and I want a portable headphone with more base than the MX400's, but not too much base. I was thinking about the KSC-35, but I dont want to spend 30 bucks! any cheaper place. Or are there are other headphones? Please help, thanks,

Rob

Try the PX100's, they can be found as low as $30.00 and have good bass.

-EDIT-

Oh sorry, didn't see your price cap... oh well, they are good so maybe save for a couple weeks and get them.

On a side note, MX400/500 are very bassy with the right source.

don't want to spend 30 bucks? don't bother buying anything then. The ksc-35s are probably your best bet.

maybe you can just buy the thicker foamies... maybe they'll give you a better fit and a little darker sound.

I have both the Sennheiser MX-500 and the KSC-35's. I put the Radio Shack foamies on the MX-500 and I was quite happy with it.

Then I bought the KSC-35 out of plain old curiousity. Wow - it is a MEGA-difference in the bass and the fullness of the sound. You go from having a decent earbud (MX-500) to feeling like you're in a club with the music thumping (KSC-35).

Trust me, the KSC-35 is WELL worth the extra few bucks. For like 10-15 bucks, you're getting into a whole different class of headphones entirely. You'll feel like you got your money's worth the first day alone, let alone the rest of the time you own them.

I can't belive Koss doesn't just put these in a sexier package and jack up the price!!

I havent heard the sennheiser mx series but 2 years ago I heard what seemed to me as an outstanding sounding sony earphones.

their shape was like any other earphone but there was a rubber part reaching deeper in the ear. and the bass was awesome.

can anyone enlighten me what model could they have been?
