Would you consider them itchier than the Sennheiser HD 555? (I actually believe all Sennheiser HD models use the same padding material)

I found the AD700 pads itchy as well. My HD595 pads are so much better.

Mine don't feel itchy... :-/ Not sure how to help here.

What're they made of anyway? Some sort of felt/velour cloth? I've always wanted to try them. Do you know if Air-series pads are attached the same way as Art-series headphones?

I think the pads on my A700s are just stretched on. A plastic fabric ring holds on to the earcup. They're free to rotate.

When was the last time you shaved? I only say this because I always have problems in that period where you haven't shaved for a couple days so the stubble is pretty long, but not long enough to be flexible like hair. It keeps getting stuck in my Grado pads and can be a bit unpleasant.

I've been considering getting these 'phones and tried them out for a couple of hours today and didn't notice any itching.
