Ordering the pfe with fedex will most likely result in crazy brokage fees, so I had to give up on that. >.< If anyone knows someone selling it with USPS to canada do share, that's the only way to not get screwed with an insane fee.

So I'm looking for something similar to the pfe but much easier to find in stores and such.

- Clear, detailed sounds
- Medium bass, dont want something bass-heavy
- Silky sound warmer than colder
- Good SQ (of course xD)

And my budget is around 150$

Anything like that?

thanks :3

I had no duties to pay (in the end) when I ordered mine. It says so on their site, too.
Duties were supposed to be taken care of by them but at the time they were having difficulties so I was refunded the duties amount (about $20) and had to pay the fedex guy upon delivery. That should be worked out by now though you would think.
I even emailed them before I ordered and they reassured me there would be no extra fees.

I really dont think the PFE can be matched by anything sold in retail stores for the type of sound you're looking for at that price. There's a reason they're so well-liked around here. I'm sure you can find someone willing to buy and ship you a pair. Heck, you could probably buy one on the FS forums here.

If that fails the mid-range Shures (3/4 series) are probably the most easily found warm-ish IEMs in that price range.

Seriously? This recommendation tells me that you either didn't bother reading the OP's post or have never heard the RE0. Or both.

do you want an iem? My full size ad700s are similar in sound sig, on par in overall sound quality, to my old pfe's and were only ~90 usd shipped, cheaper if you catch a deal.

Really? That's great, I'll go check now

Edit:
found this:

Canadian orders will be shipped via FEDEX international economy and will be charged $24.95 for shipping. You will be responsible for taxes and duties (paid directly to FEDEX) when the package arrives.

.. :X

There's no alternative near it's price. Maybe Ety's, but they are more, and I don't like them as much as the PFEs.

i was charged 20$ or so per box (i ordered both the 112 and 121). it was painful, but the phonak are worth it. for that signature, i think there isn't anything until you go to the q-jays.

if you had only 50$ more, the ck10 from audio technica is a slightly warmer sound, but hasn't any fatigue in the highs. its bass is a bit more, but not much. where it shines compared to audeo is the build quality.

I don't mind paying 50$ more as long as I can avoid the brokerage fees, because then the money is going towards the product rather than in the coffers of some transport company. Any suggestions where I could buy the ck10 decently priced? Ebay has some 200$ ones right now, but they might be gone by the time I can buy them.
