The top two IMO are Ray Samuels' new portable amp the XP-7 and the HeadRoom Cosmic, with or without the reference module. No other amps that I have heard really do justice to the HD-600's. Other amps will give you adequate results with the Senn's but the two I mentioned above really let you hear what these headphones have to offer.
I agree on the Cosmic. But if you are looking for a less expensive one. You might consider a JMT portable META. I have one of his "maxed" versions and think it works great for portables and HDs. Just a thought.
Thanks guys. The new Nomad will hold 60 gigs. The last thing I want is to have 60 gigs of music sound less than the best when I'm on the road. I will check out both your rec's and post once I purchase,
Thanks
