A mini Review: Sennheiser cx-300 vs cx300-II
Jul 23, 2009 at 12:41 PM Post #16 of 21
Hi,

Yes I heard its the old cx-400 model but i cant confirm it. Yes it has big bass but its tighter than the old cx-300 and not as overemphasized. I can hear the nice hihats up top quite airy the mids are there but not as full as they could be but voices are nice and clear and instruments are too. I am happy I bought the cx- 300-II. A helpful review might be www.modsenergy.com. - what hifi review and techradar.com are helpul too.

Cheers,
Steve.

I would be very thankfull if someone could compare the CX300 II with the popular Nuforce-NE7...
Many people are bashing the CX300 II because of the old one that didn't had many details and soundstage, and they preffer to stick to ''proven high quality sound'' IEM like the NE7 and RE2,so I would like to know if Sennheiser raised the sound quality enough for this 2nd generation so we could say it's a ''wow'' IEM like for RE2 or NE7.
This is my problem:
-NE7 = perfect but too pricy because I can buy it only from the internet(75$)
-RE2 = THE IEM that received tons of ''wows'' but that would not be very good for my Trance and Psytrance because of the lack of Bass, price is sweet even by internet
-CX300 II = Some people hated it because of extrem Bass and other loved it because of very nice sound quality,I don't who to beleive anymore, pricy but I can use a gift coupon of 55$ to cut down the price

Microphonics? The CX300 II has more than other IEM like RE2?

I noticed the 300-IIs seem to have a considerably higher amount of bass over the originals but the charts confuse me here.

The 300-IIs have lower bass at all lower frequencies, so you think my 300s just died a little?
