Best Shure or Sennheiser IEM's for £70 - £100

Hey all,

I am looking for a new pair of IEM's, either Shure or Sennheiser. I will not be buying online, the last pair of IEM's I got turned out to be fake which is f###ing annoying.

I really like the Sennheiser sound and quite fancy the IE6's which are in by budget. What do you guys think and is there any comparable Shure model for this kind of money?

well the shure that would just scrape ish into your budget would be the se310, but sorry not heard it or the IE6

what sort of sound signature are u after and how important is isolation?

Isolation is pretty important. I am a big fan of the Sennheiser sound, I have gone through a few different pairs of cans and IEM's and have been happy with them. I listen to a bit of everything really, apart from R n' B and hip-hop so I am not wanting some big thumping bass.

I was wondering what the Shure signature was like, I have also read a lot about the longevity issues with the Shure IEM's so don't know what to go for.

the shure signature is mostly about the mids and to people used to low end crap they will sound horribly bass light.

isolation wise the CX6 might be worth u looking into as its closed and the IE6 isint but other wise they are suposed to be the same. the shures will isolate much better but will sound very different. i suspect you are used to big heavy bass and want ot keep that so the senns would be a good choice probably

as for not wanting big thumping bass, erm actually thats probably what you have and do want
