I have one of those apple iphone blue tooth headsets. It was working fine till 2 days ago, then it started failing on me. The problem is it makes a static noise when I press the button to do anything. And when it is in use the other person cannot hear me, and the static does not go away while it is in use. And this static is not minor but quiet load. I have tried restarting the iPhone, unpair and re-pairing the BT, charging it fully, then allowed it to discharge completely then recharging it. I also tried turning off any sort of sources of interference. I also tied to go on apple's website to try to ask for tech support, but I am out of warranty. Online people have said to take it to the "Genius Bar" at a apple store and they might exchange it right there, but I am 100 miles away from the nearest apple location. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem or of a solution. My next step if I cannot fix it is to get a different BT, and I also know there are better BT headsets out there, I was looking at the Jawbone Prime. If anyone has any recommendations for replacements that would be nice.
