I am planning on buying a decent set of speakers. I have my own opinion on what i thought of buying though. My budget is ~£800 ($1,316.038). This is sort of a re-post as i hadnt properly read all the sub forums and posted in the Hi-end audio. which you obviously cant get for my price bracket (by the looks of it)
At the moment i have Bose Companion 5 (OMG!!! the word Bose, everyone hates me now
) connected up to my iMac and PS3 and HDTV.
Next year im moving into a house so i will be buying them around that time. What im after is an amp that is able to handle at least 3 optical inputs (PS3, Xbox and V+). If possible also HDMI although thats more home theatre style amp. i dont really mind. Although this can be a miss, as i am more interested in better sound than more functionality. ie. just a bog standard, half decent amp (or whatever is suggested) that reproduces good sound is ok.
i was thinking on some mordaunt short mezzo 6 speakers and a Denon AVR-1909 or Yamaha DSP-AX763. although i have not actually heard or even seen, and just going of what people have said.
i would like to know your views on these as its a lot of money (for a student
