Depends. With some TOTL HPs, amps make a serious difference. Example: HE 6.

But in my low to mid-tier price range (Max. 300 USD or approx. 20,000 INR) do you also agree that upgrading headphones is a better option than upgrading amps Mr Ganesh? I do feel that Vaibhav has a good point.

Most certainly I do agree...In this range, things are easier to drive in general. But you know what? You should look at the Geek Out. For your price range, it can drive some orthos and even the HD 800 reasonably well. I have two Geek Outs and I've run the run the Audez'e LCD cans as well as the HD 800. If you can DIY, the Bottlehead Crack or Project Ember is a very good amp. You do have options for $300 these days.

Thank you for the suggestion, will check out the Geek Out, I'd also read about their upcoming player as well. As I mentioned a few posts ago, I'm waiting in hope for the new A series Walkman to be released in November, and hopefully connect it through line out to the amp. Will check out the Geek devices first, thanks once again.

10-20 k range is value for money range.

imo, 2 times price results in 2 times performance, unlike flagship cans where 2 times performance results in 5 times price hike (all arbitrary nos but you get the point).

nope only xba-a1 if at all as a replacement to useless xba-h1.

I say this as I returned h1 last year after a week of use.

Word of advice-stay away from a2,the h2 on which its an improvements was a total flop last year,h3 sold well though.

U better invest in dunu or other iem's or if u want sony then jump to a3.

Or wait for extensive review before ordering as it will cost at least 200$.

this time around A2 got 2 BAs like the H3 and A3 , so its gona be better than say H2 which had 1 ba  , and people complaining about the H3 bass being lose and boomy compared to tighter counter parts i think a smaller dynamic driver will do better , so im not out in it , and im looking for the T10i , dje-1500 and a audiofly af-140 or 160 too . i havent pulled the trigger . may be dn1000 or 2000 too .

this time i will wait for reviews , and like the H1 , its not bad , i like it more then xba-3 in some ways .  and i recommend it to those who want smoother highs and good bass ( they just know bass , not worried about mid bass or sub bass ) .

The point is that u get gr07 and re-400 at same 100$ tag and they are well better.

And with the arrival of havi b3 and ostrcy kc06 I think h1 is overpriced.

Btw I was gonna get xba-3 for 7500 but then they said that lows were almost absent so left it.

looks like I was wrong about a2,as opposed to 2 way system of h2,its indeed a 3 way hybrid system.

thanks
