Big in size, not as comfortable and I am 6 feet 2 inches and have been told I have big ears. Compute?
Yes I see; I thought you might have meant bulky to carry around, which didn't seem like a huge concern.
Maybe the impressions weren't done so well, or the end product wasn't crafted well. It's frequently claimed that customs can be very comfortable.
I would imagine all customs would be, more or less, equally large.
most but not all are the same size. Westones customs fits well and are flatter with a softer material to form in the ear. Also there is a English company that makes custom earphones made of soft silicon and are flat in the ear.
The English company is ACS. I've tried their flagship custom (demo unit)...really didn't like the sound at all.
I really don't know how flat customs should or can be, and how much that truly matters for day-to-day use, but all the customs I've seen in person look more or less equally large. For any given pair of ears, I would imagine the size of customs from every company would be quite similar, since the mould has to occupy the same space in order to sit well and seal well.
Does anyone here have the Cypher Labs AlgoRhythm Solo, The Continental V2 and Jh13 Pro and wish to comment how it all sounds together either with an iphone or ipad/ipod?
Bulky? In-ears?
He may mean the shell itself is 2-3 times larger than a universal housing since customs engulf your entire ear cavity, not just the canal. So they are certainly bulky in that nature.
Personally I thought JH16 had quite a bit more bass than JH13. A generally much fuller sound. Very far from neutral...more fun than anything else.
The JH16 has way too much bass for me. The JH13 is just right
for good bass, you need
1) a good fit
2) a good dac
3) a good amp
with those, you can easily have too much bass.
Ask Zarim? Since he recommended them to you.
