I use the Mustang and Shadow on a very regular basis. Excellent open sound. Right now the Shadow and the music floats by and around.

i was reading a review of the DNA Sonett by Rdr Seraphim and was very impressed by his statements (as related to the ES3X).

there was only one post that briefly outlined a person's experience using it with the JH-13s. Does anyone else have experience with this combo, and if so, care to share it in regards to a comparison with the WA6?

This may be a lot to ask but these so far seem to be some of the top contenders as far as I have read in regards to noise floor, clarity and headroom when using these uber-IEMs.

thanks for the info.

p.s. i thought this may be useful for people to hear about, although at this point in the game it is more of an audiophile wet dream for me. perhaps i can change that in the near future. i am still very happy learning the new subtleties of my music with a set of ATH-M50s and a D10 with AD8656 and bypassed buffers. better than I have ever had, but I know it can keep going up!

Can someone please comment on the length of my stems?

I just had my refit done and these are absolutely comfortable - don't even feel like I am wearing but I feel like my stems may be too short.

It takes less than a couple of seconds to insert and take them out from my ears yet luckily I don't feel too loose. Seems like seal is still there as I have a good bass response, even the sub bass but for some reason I feel like the overall presentation is not tight even...Kinda like sounds are scattered, not focused.

If I press on the ear pieces against my ears, I lose substantial amount of bass yet the bass is tigher. What happens when you press on your jh13?

BTW - I must admit it's the best IEM I have ever listened to with the bass out of this world.

To me, they don't look that short. But I only had two custom IEMs so my opinion is based on pictures I saw on this forum.

However, I think the sound should not change substantially when you press them against your ear with your fingers. I could be wrong but that is how you test the seal I think.

I could understand if it gains more base as I press on it to go deeper but it's actually reversed. I didn't think it was blocking sound tunnel or may be breaking the seal? Jerry said less bass equates to breakage in seal.

They do look shorter than mine but as long as you have a good seal, I don't think it'd be a big problem.

I am not sure whether i have good seal or not.
at first, my left ear is hurt after i used it for 30 mins. But now, i think i got used to it.
But when i am eating, or twist my head to the right side, i loose the seal on the left side.i can easily pull the earpiece out of my ear.

Do you think i should send it back for a refit?
and i am not really satisfy with this artwork either, it is different than the one i am asking for.
