Run them in pretty hard for a few days. They can take it. Mid bass shifts to even more low bass and and highs will get more extended, less forward in the lower treble. I was surprised at how much they moved for me.

Of course. I always post first impressions, and then after many weeks of listening post an updated impression. Usually a new headphone/iem needs to grow on me before I can fully appreciate what I'm hearing.
So far my experience with their customer service has been great. My jh13 reached them on Tuesday for a refit and I received a tracking notice the next day!
Very fast refit turnaround.
Now the most worrying part, hoping the refit fixed my issues..
a FEW refits? omg... shipping alone cost me nearly $60, i really do not what to spend more just for refits..
Mine was probably easier/faster since it's a bit too big/tight, they only had to shave/trim it a bit.. i'm worried it'll be too loose after all that shaving/trimming!
Another refit to make it bigger will probably take longer..

I marked with a black market the pressure points on the jh16's and left a note for them inside the shipping package.

They were more minor things and I could have lived with it if I had it but I didn't. I'd rather spend a bit more on shipping than frustration with fit later. I've had that happen with UM a few years ago and after that experience I learned to deal with only USA companies with ciem. They are good now so all is well.
First impression (these are my first customs ever): this feels so weird in my ears I'll need to get used to how this feels. But the seal seems good. Will do some intensive listening the next couple of days to get my first impressions of how they sound and of course if the fit is right. Will post a pic of the design I chose soon, I like how they look
Edit: So one thing I am definitely noticing after listening to a couple of hours is that pairing these with the right source is very important. Oddly my Arrow Headstage 4G amp doesn't seem to be able to drive them well. They sound better straight from my rockboxed iPod classic. The Arrow does seem to increase soundstage a bit and perhaps instrument separation ever so slightly, but it doesn't drive the low-end well. On some of my typical bass test tracks, the bass is just lacking unless I use the Arrow's bass boost feature. Interesting. I noticed this also when I demoed the the 1964ears V6-Stage. Maybe the Arrow doesn't play well with BA type IEMs (those can have wildly varying impedance loads anyway, I guess the Arrow can't handle it). Guess I'll have to find a good amp down the road that will still improve instrument separation and soundstage, without sacrificing bass quantity and quality.
So any tips for a decent affordable portable amp that works well with the JH13?
