i just purchased a pair of shure e2 earphones from guitar center. Im a happy e2 customer. Right out of the box they sound good enough to me. im using them with an iriver slimx 350 (i think thats what its called) and a headsave meta 42 transit amp and im crankin some shania twain and faith hill (i must be happy--im jammin to some country bumpkins and likin it). i like my music loud and usually with earphones they crack up with any volume at all. These are handling the volume no problem. well now i know im not an audiophile groupie-----i love my sony v900s and shure e2s----not very popular choices from what i gather reading the posts --but oh well ill get over it.

oh by the way has anyone tried using custom silicon ear cushions. I was thinking of having some made and was just wondering if anybody has gotten some made for the shure e2.
