Are you looking for it for its mp3 capability? The 256mb ones really don't hold much information, especially at the bitrates most people on this forum would prefer. I had an iRiver IFP-190 back in the day (256 as well) and sold it pretty quickly. If this is just for jogging or the like, it might work.
As for the price, that's about what you'd pay for such drives, iirc. Not sure about its quality though. If you just want this thing for data, you can get some for $50 or so.
I agree with strohmie. It's always a good idea to takes mass-sold eBay items with a grain of salt. The price is huge indicator what the quality might be like. Most likely the seller is making a huge profit off these things. If it looks shotty, it probably is.
