Fake Sennheiser cx55

Spoke to someone at Sennheiser yesterday, they confirmed that CX55 had been copied but they havent found any fake CX95 yet (i have but they are easy to spot - see below).
These photos should help spot fake cx55 and cx95

These come with a cable wrap that the genuine ones dont, the wrong case , also note there is no gap between the metal end surround and the body of the earphone, on the genuine there is a small gap - see below

Thanks astroid. I suspected that the flood of CX55s and 95s were indeed counterfeits. It's curious that all of these fakes started coming out after the two models were discontinued (replaced by the CX350 and 550, respectively). Is that mere coincidence or did it just take exactly that long to construct the fakes, as the CX55 and 95 use a non-standard housing design?

I would not personally buy chinese earphones, you better get somewhere for a higher price but where they can guarantee you good or decent quality

In all reality, I checked with a counterfeiter (I live in China, so I have connections).
 
He said that "it wasn't as profitable to counterfeit" compared to the IE6,IE7, and IE8 (for every 100 or so factories for the IE high end series, there is one factory for the cx55 and cx95).

Once I gave my friend my iPhone headphones and his cat nibbled so they wouldn't work. Instead of mine he gave me a pair of fakery ones. They were dead in like 2 weeks or so. So never save on technical things, buy original one!
