If you are looking at Future Shop the most musical subs imo are the Energy ESW-V8 and ESW-V10. Velodyne make some nice subs, but the ones FS carry are more for home theatre.

Also, be aware that the cost of importing an HSU sub is pretty stupid. I recently inquired about the STF-2 and was quoted $596.76 US shipped via Fedex including duties and taxes, or $509.00 US via USPS plus duties and taxes. Either way, you are probably looking at about a $300 premium over the US prices.

I was lucky and ended up finding a used VTF-1.

I still think my JBL LSR305 is perfect. They are still working after a year of using it. Also, I do not have to spend thousands of dollars to get them. I also bought some speaker isolation pads.
