I have a friend who could not get use to in ears and doesn't particularly like headphones due to our warm climate. I'm looking at some better grade ear buds as a gift for his birthday. Whichever is good? My local store does have a last pair of MDR888LP on the shelf.

I'm looking at a US$50 budget.

personally i prefer the e888s to the yuins, but im more amazed that your store still stocks that last set of e888s. its been a while since they went out of production.
