Hi I have a pair of Sennheiser HD555s which are working fine with my amp and DAC, but the one problem I have is that the HD555s have a 6.3mm plug, and the adaptor keeps breaking, i need a cable solution i.e. a 6.3mm socket to 3.5mm plug, I've been looking at the grado ones, but I was wondering if there were any other cable solutions to my problem?

How about reterminating your cable to the size you need? It won't hurt your headphones or their resale value. If you haven't worked with electronics, it's easy. The DIY Forum can talk you through a retermination. Also, a number of members will do it for you at a low cost.

Get the Grado adapter. It is a reasonable priced solution
