Dang...had I known these guys did Sennheiser IE8, I wouldn't have gone with ACS all the way in the UK!

I have two sets being made up; one set being made up by Westone for my Westone 3s and one set being made up by ACS for my Sennheiser IE8s. Neither set has been completed or sent to me yet, so I don't know yet. I hope so!

hmmm. I wonder if they can do any other phones or ones that have a standard type of tip design i.e. if something works for a T400 Complay or something like that. It would be interesting to try them with NE-7M phones (only after a Iland a contract for work that is  ) . I'm not so sure I would want to do them to my Bose though the bass is already over cooked without a bunch of isolation LOL.

Looks nice, good price too. Might have to order a pair when my IE7s come.

I just need to find out how much an audiologist would charge to do the impressions.

Over a year ago, I bought a set of iPod Attachments from Earsound Customs (EarSound Customs - Revolutionize Your Listening Experience™). The cost was $139 for everything which is a bit more then $70 at Listenhear. You are smart in questioning how much an audiologist charges for impressions. My brother is a hearing professional and charges up to $100. Also, I have an MBA and I'm not a big fan of deceptive marketing! As far as I can tell from the Earsound website, they also make a custom fit product for nearly all of the audiophile type head phones as well as make IEMs (in-ear-monitors). Hope this helps!

I have the listen hear molds for my Shure E2Cs. The cost was about $70 including the fitting. It was done at a shopping mall. Some forum members tell me I was crazy to have a non-audiologist do this. Please note they did put a protective piece into my canal!

I love my molds. In fact, I am trying to figure out if any of the other phones they support have similar connectors to the Nuforce NE-7M so I can get some molds made for those too. Listen Hear supposedly keeps your impressions on file for future use.

are the molds comfortable? did you lose or gain any SQ?

The sound quality improves dramatically with the custom inserts.

They are more comfortable than the foam tips that I had been using. I was getting better bass with the foam tips than with the rubber.

The bass is even better than the foam with the customs.

The only downside is that they really cut out exterior noise; so don't use them if you need to hear what is going on. I think they are best for airplances and playing in bed when you don't want to bug your significant other.

I just got fitted for my custom inserts yesterday (for Shure 530s). Had it done at a ListenHear kiosk at the Mall of America which is near me. The guy who helped me was very professional, and seemed quite knowledgeable. He said I'll be blown away by the improvement in seal, noise reduction and bass. They should be delivered in about a week. I can hardly wait!

I have some Starkey/ListenHear earmolds on order for Klipsch X10's. I'm supposed to have them Wednesday or so (they were supposed to ship Friday). I'll post my thoughts when I get them. There's also a thread specific to tips for the X10 where I plan to post pictures.

Haha this is the problem with customs (at least for me!)

The waiting is so painful in that amazing, fun "I know something good is coming soon" way. Thus, when they actually show up, the excitement of actually getting them is offset by the sadness of not having something so awesome to look forward to anymore!

Haha the anticipation is the only thing getting me through my work days now!
(I imagine that once I get my ES3x's, I won't even be able to get myself to show up to work - need to spend some quality time with them!)
