And a third, my gilmore sounds great
through my 600's.
Incidently, my Gilmore/preamp cost
around $400 to build. This includes the
power supply specified by the schematic,
a crossfeed circuit, balanced configuration,
0.1% Dale resistors, Noble Black Beauty pot,
5 pairs Dayton Audio RCA's, 2 Neutrik 1/4" jacks,
2 Grayhill rotary switches (4 poles, 6 pos),
1 Electroswitch rotary (8 poles, 6 pos,
to switch balanced/unb. mode and select output),
3 NKK toggles, a nice case, and 4 Kilo knobs.
I would estimate $200-250 would allow
you to build a very nice basic Gilmore.
