Who bought a USB X-fi Extreme 5.1 to have its optical digital out for the actual dac you wanted to buy that only had coax and optical in, but after a while with the X-Fi you just stuck with it and never actually bought a dac as you had planned?

Just wondering if that happens, I'll probably pick one up unless i decide to go with the 2009 version (the one that shows a mic in and a LED labeled 192K) of the Super DAC USB Pro 707 (I was pretty set on it, but X-Fi seems to keep coming up in this forum for various uses too quite often (and a friend suggested it too) and sound should be good (i guess, wish i could hear stuff before buying it))
