I currently have scl3
is it worth an upgrade? to se210 or se310?
Not looking forward to if it's not much of a difference
I'm not an audiophile
I listen to all kinds of music
so all arounder

The SCL3 should sound nearly identical to the SE210's. 310's would be a worthwhile upgrade as it will give you a better bass feedback for certain types of genres. While I own the SE210's I'm not a big fan of it and recommend 310 instead in most cases.

Dumbest question ever.....I'm sorry dude but obviously the SE530 triumphs the SE210 in every way...

Yes, even for a non-audiophile the sound quality differential is massive between the two, especially in regards to the bass extension/impact, soundstage and instrument separation.

I find the SE110's aren't worth it for the price, and judging other people's views, the 210's have even less bass... The SE110's didn't even have much to start with anyway. I don't think it's worth it, but I would like to try the SE310s

Yup, and I own both.

The SE210 does not have the even close to the same bass extension or impact and the soundstage is not as good either.

dude, do you get off on posting condescending, useless replies? You're calling the op's question the "dumbest question ever," but yet you jumped on the first post completely ignoring his choices & telling him he needs to get a pair that he didnt ask about that may very well be out of his price range. If you ask me, you're the "dumbest head-fi'er ever." jackass...

to the OP, go for the SE310's. The SE110's are muddy, but more impressive on bass, and the SE210s have more clarity, but are quite light on bass (plus I found them to be quite harsh in terms of sibilance on the highs). The 310's should be a good compromise on both, since they have the same driver as the 210, but with ported bass for better extension. Plus, they look a lot nicer

yes, I forgot about the 115's, op may want to look at those too. They're brand new, so I havent found any reviews on them yet, but they use a dynamic driver which provides a better bass impact than the armature drivers on the others, however, I've heard some say they're not quite as detailed as the arm based shures. Worth a try though.
