We got back to my friends house after having a nice lunch and there they were, my IEM's shredded to peices, wire torn apart, eartips missing, completely wasted. He said he would try to give me a little bit of money. This totally sucks. Anyone have a similar experience?

mmm, tasty Etys...

(I'm assuming that it was your Etys since that's the only IEM I see in your sig). Anyways, Sorry that it had to happen to you, but it's always a risk leaving anything with cord along with your dog alone. When they get bored they sometimes resort to going on a destruction binge to keep themselves entertained, especially if they are not properly trained. Let me guess, it was one of those smaller dogs and is less than few years old?

Your friend should pay for at least half of the price IMO as the dog is his responsibility, but that's just me.

Its a 4 month old puppy who has to be spoiled by their owners. And yeah, they were the Ety's. Mabey Ill sell my MS-1 and SR-125 for a set of closed headphones.

Or you can just use your PK3s.

Maybe PK1 or OK1 then if you don't need isolation... sounds very good.

The Ety's I had were pretty good but I know of a full sized closed headphone that is on sale for $300 instead of $400. Im tempted to sell both my grados plus put down the rest of the money for them. I like full sized headphones anyway.

IF your friend were to offer 50% help, that would be generous. Yes, it was his dog, but it was YOUR phones that YOU left laying out and open. The puppy is only doing what is natural for a puppy: play with and chew on things! Not trying to be harsh, but there's a reason why people start threads every now and then about how to carry/protect their portable rig.

yes.
I wonder why nobody does that anymore? my sister let her friend use he new touch, and the friend lost it.
my sister didn't make her pay for it, or anything. didn't even ask.
I think you should get at least $100 out of your friend.
