Shipped to Canada, the PK3s are $39 + $10 = $49 USD

Converted, that's $62 CDN.

All the sudden, the sale price of $39 doesn't seem like such a bargain (for me).

Is the PK3 still my best bet even factoring USD -> CDN + shipping? I'm wondering if my $62 CDN would be better spent on something up here...

thanks for any input!

what difference does it make if you're Canadian or not. I mean if shopping from Canada is pricier then the rest of the world wouldn't anything else besides the pk3's be pricier. Basically making it the same ratio?

It's not like with with the JVC HAR x700 which goes for 33$ + free shipping in the US and 100$ plus shipping for the rest of the world. The pk3's go for 39$ plus 10$ shipping for anyone (yep, even a Canadian

Well, I'm basically wondering if there's something I could pick up LOCALLY (ie. Best Buy, etc) for ~ $60 that would be better. So no shipping or $ conversion involved (the CDN dollar is weak these days vs. USD).

Sounds like even factoring in shipping + conversion, the PK3s are STILL the way to go vs. anything I could pick up in town for that amount of $$.

I briefly skimmed through bestbuy's iems section and really couldn't find anything worth mentioning at this price range.

Simply put, if someone let me audition the pk3's and told be they worth 60$+ I would tell him they are well worth it and ask him where do I get them.
Practicaly for two reasons:
1. almost any headphone that I could grab localy would cost me double, sometimes even triple the price then if lets say I'd shop online (the ksc75 costs 50$ here lol I think that even beats Italy for whacky headphone prices).
2. They do sound good.
They dont give you the same feeling that you sometimes get with other purchases where you say "hmm ok cool but I guess money doesn't lie. Looks like I'll have to triple my budget to get some decent sound"...

definately worth it. My PK3's are my best friends while I'm at work & easily the best sub $100 non-isolating earbud out there.
