some plants will use a stamper far beyond it's "expiration" to avoid the costs of cutting a new lacquer. Higher-up presses may have been pressed from a "dying" stamper.

I've recently acquired a used copy of this same album. Yes I gotta agree, the 2nd LP has grave defects in the pressing. The sibilance is very bad.
Oh well, mine was from a flea market, couldn't return it anyway. Thank god it's just like $5. lol.
