yeah i so i got a new pair of Koss KSC75s today and i plugged em in and i notice that i hear a low level hiss coming from them even when theres no music playing. what the hell is that? i didnt hear it before it only comes in this. i checked my speaker settings on the computer all the mic and line inputs are turned off. can someone explain whats happening?

the system is plugged directly into the computer. there are no external devices.

It's probably because your KSC75 is more revealing or sensitive than your previous headphones. Therefore, you can now hear how noisy your onboard sound is.

Yep I agree.
They are probably more sensitive so that you now can hear your sound card. Upgrade!

yeah ive been wanting to get a dac, i was looking at the Dacmagic but now people saying the v dac is a better bang for the buck so looks like im back to the drawing board. do a bit of research on a decent dac for around sub 700AUD. and an amp for about the same as well.
