Wow, they are super cool! I have a set of Aiwa swoops and i was always impressed with the detail and clarity on them.

First buds were Aiwas, with those same gold "bass tubes" I had them for the longest time, like 15 years. I almost still had them, but I think I threw them away last year. The casing's been cracked for a while and the face just kept falling off.

Likewise fantastic buds at the time, easily topped sony efforts.

Shame they aren't in the iem market it would be rather interesting.

Ahh Aiwa. I remember the earbuds that came with my Aiwa minidisc player weren't half bad... although I still didn't care for them because I'm not a big earbud fan.

Me too . Since I had a lot of Aiwa products included boombox, ... But I don't have chance to hear any earphone you had. Truly sad, even I can buy many good brand earphone like Sony, Audio Technica, Sennheiser, Yuin but still want to have these Aiwa earphone

Yes and no.

The actual company went under quite some time ago but the brand is salvaged by Sony.

I had a pair of the HP-J7's and they're still the best in-ear I've ever used. I'd have a set again in a heartbeat. The only down-side was that they were awkward to fit. Thanks for the reminder.

aiwa were fun: like the cheap sony. i had some of those buds: not really worth the price but fun to look at.

and zorrorox: had no idea a canadian show made it across the pond
