Hi everyone!
I just joined up and am looking at getting an inexpensive portable amp for my D2. The one's I've looked at so far are the PA2V2 and fiio E5. I also read the D2 doesn't have a lineout so I would be double amping the signal. Are there any problems with doing this? Also the headphones I'm currently using are ultimate ears super.fi 5 eb.

What are your thoughts?

Im using the e5 with my d2 and im very pleased with it with my ultrasones i.e it adds depth sounding sort off bigger,it punches well beyond its weight price wise imho . the bass boost is great as well(a bit like the e3 but better) and as long as the effects are kept off everything stays crystal clear.
as regards amping i think the theory says dont amp an amp but in practice seems to work with a quality headphone out.
tbh the e5 has got me lurking this forum looking for the next step

I had my D2 amped with an ibasso P2. It made a significant positive impact on sound quality. Unfortunately the P2 quit working. I sent it back for repair and upgraded it to the P3 before they shipped the repaired unit out. I'll be glad when it arrives. I don't like listening to music as much "unamped".

ive seen so many threads where ibassos are doa or develope faults i think it brings their quality control in to question ,having said that if you get a good one
