What's with the AD2000 on the pictures? Is Craig building his amps around it/uses it to tweak his amps?

The top of page image is my pair of ad2ks from the LAX meet and the work space photo is Craig's pair. The AD2ks are great cans and are really good with his amps. Craig tests his amps with Senns, Grados and the ATs last I spoke with him.

If I had the cash I'd have a BA as to me it represents the best headphone amp I have heard (and I have heard most of them). I'd most likely go 307a if I were flying blind as there are still 307a stock out there if you scrounge. The AD1 should be a great combo but I have not heard it to say. The AD1 is either new from one source or used telefunkens for big bucks. The early version of the BA that I had at my house was great and that was before Craig did a full throttle power supply.

If you order either the 307a or AD1 buy 2-3 extra sets of tubes and that should set you up for the foreseeable future.

The AD1 should be very transparent i would think considering its design purpose. The only thing i wonder about is if the BA isnt wasting it since it was designed for much higher output. It would be interesting to see a robust speaker amp designed around the AD1. Regardless im sure it will sound great. I envy people who will be attending CJ.

the first run is still being built as far as I know, there was a delay getting a few parts from what I understand. The early version of this amp was one of the top if not the top amp I have heard. While I have not heard every amp out there I've heard just about all the heavy hitters.

Craig will have a unit at CanJam for folks to listen to and my understanding is he is delivering one or two of them at the event as well.

Very interested in the amp. How many of the units from the first run are still available?

I can't find the info anywhere....can these power high efficiency speakers? I know the ZDT does, but unsure about the BA.

I don't see any speaker taps on the back... I think not.

Actually, it might have enough power from headphone out to give you about a watt or more. You should email Craig and ask. He said it can drive 40 ohm phones to 2 watts which is 223mA

1.5 watts into a pair of RS-1s.

Just adding info for those that will question my source later, since it isn't posted on the website.
