What would you think are your favourite tips. It can be any you have tried out, can be ones that come with the IEM, or ones from other makes.
I find that the Shure's olives are one of my favourites. Also, what do the comply's foam tips feel like? Softer etc..

like comply the best.

yes, they are softer. I always feel pain after 1 hour+ with the olives, not with comply.

And I like the comply shaped sound in general( better bass and pleasing highs)

only con: they are not durable and a little expensive

Just wondering, are they washable like the Shures olives?

My favourite would have to be the new etymotic gliders.
They are really comfy, easy to put on and pull off, give nearly 100% isolation and provide a beautiful sound.
I quite like shure grey silicone too.
I used to like shure black foam until every pair i used kept getting stuck, finally ending by breaking my 420 stem off.
They are the worst.

X2 on the Comply - best comfort and seal I have tried, but they don't last very long. The Shure black last a long time and are fairly comfortable, but for me not as good as the Comply. I haven't tried the gliders yet. I also liked making my own from foamie earplugs - I was able to get very good comfort and seal - but they also didn't last very long - but they are MUCH cheaper. I did have a bit of trouble making the hole centered in the plug - but it still works.

technique is the answer. if anybody is going that mad they end up breaking the stem then they must be doing something wrong, i have to say they do stay on very tight but its not the tips fault its the actual barb that holds them on that is the culprit, i think the foams are brilliant as far as comfort, isolation and durability goes, sound wise not much different from grey silicone, however i find the triple flanges that come with shures simply stupid, if anybody manages to get those triple flanges all the way in comfortably then you need a medal.

for me its, black foam, grey silicone (tickles my inner ear), shure triple flange (although ety flanges are fine strangely). i found the ultimate ears grey tips to be on par with shures grey tips but a bit better because they didnt tickle as much. number one is black foam for me tho, apart from them clawing your earwax out they are superb and comfy, medium left ear, small right for me.

I like Shure olives best when I can get a good seal with them... some earphones I think the stem is too short for me to get them in deep enough to get a secure seal. When that happens I usually use Ety tri-flanges. The tight fit of olives is a little scary sometimes :O I've never broken a nozzle off, but it sure felt like I was going to several times.

Silicon. More comfortable + more comfortable over time. Foams give me that "ear stuffed with cotton" feeling that's just obnoxious.

Silicons for me. Nothing like a suction seal letting me know that I'm in complete isolation.

Agreed.

If the triple flange sleeves that come with the Shures are considered silicon then that's what I prefer, too.

The olives that were pre-installed on my SE530s were okay but I damaged one getting it off the stem in order to try other sleeves out.

I read a thread about how to clean comply but It's not official and I never tried.( some people's complys were ruined)

Without cleaning, comply still last a lot shorter than shure olives.

olives are good, good isolation, better bass than silicons, more treble than comply, and very durable.
