$350 (street-wise) isn't bad for the HD650. You can get them for around $240 used nowadays. The HD650/600 will probably be discontinued entirely since there is no point in keeping all four models.

The last time Sennheiser got us keyed up all they released were IEMs. If this is real, I wouldn't be surprised if the HD-800 was just a wireless HD-650 or something.

Of course I wouldn't know if the Sennheiser rep would be lying to me, although why would they do that?
In the e-mail it said that the release date would be soon in the next year, and it sounded like a firm release.

Now, they could change their minds, not be happy with the product, and scrap the design.

I'm only posting what they said in an e-mail.

Again - go back in the thread to the original reputed email from the illiterate Sennheiser rep - I really find it hard to believe that Sennheiser would allow such a grammatically incorrect and feebly mispelled information release totally lacking in correct sentence structure be published, let alone emailed.

maybe because english is their second language?
But I guess it's truly expected that everyone who has an inbox filled with god knows how many e-mails answers every one in multiple languages with perfect spelling!

I just laugh at how critical some people are.
Oh well, if it's released next year, yay me. If not, then that rep who e-mailed me is a dirty liar.

Yeah, I guess I'm a bit confused as to why there seem to be a lot of people gettin' their harsh on.

High post count or not, I really don't think this guy's trying to make something up just for S&G.

I don't EXPECT companies to generate perfect english (anymore). only if its 'formal' communication like a marketing glossy that they'll send before the docs guys for checking and have lots and lots of review. some email, otoh, takes a few minutes and they are NOT given the same level of attention to detail. they just are not (these days).

lack of grammar or spelling correctness is not enough to call 'fake'. sorry, but I'm still not convinced its a fake JUST due to this, alone.

u guys shouldnt call it a fake just cuz they dont post up pics or anything. maybe they dont want the public to know yet, except for those who asked them about it.
