Hey!

Looking at getting some £60 (max) IEMs for Christmas....

I'm not an audiophile and I know little about earphones but here I go!

They need to be:

- Comfortable (I liked SkullCandy's Ink'd style of buds - not so much Goldring GX200s memory foam stuff)
- Quick and easy to take in and out of the ear.
- Good sound for Drum & Bass music, but I listen to other music as well - so a nice balance I guess?
- Good noise isolation

Also I live in the UK so need to take into account shipping costs.

I hope you guys can help me out as I a pair of good IEMs would make a whole lot of difference to my music.

Any help appreciated
Cheers

My search was very similar Turtles, the denon C551s jinx recommended, from what I've read meet all your requirements apart from the last one.
They have not be highly rated by most for their isolation. I think it's easy enough to get spare "tips" that will remedy the problem.

at that price, i've only got he Shure SE110, UE Metro,fi 2. My Klipsch Custom 1's are on the way. i was forutnate, because amazon had the Custom 1's for £17.99, but like i said, they've yet to turn up, so I'll let you know what the deal is.

The Shure's are nice, but fussy, the Metro.fi 2's will get your toe tapping the most. The Metro.fi's don't do that over-ear wire nonsense, but the cable is a stiff as a crow bar. My remedy is to use the smallest buds and screw them in my ears, nice and tight.

I have got some Cresyn earphones, but i haven't got around to trying them yet. The dealer is up in Edinburgh and shipping is free.

it's just gone 1.30 am, let me get some kip then i'll get back to you in the morning. don't spend your money, until i've tried these Cresyn's.

Denon C551's are often reccomended at that price point, and although I haven't seen as much praise on Head-Fi for the CX95's, I'd say they're still a good buy.

Both are bass heavy though, so you better make sure that's what you want before you buy.
