HI: When I first received the transit amp it sounded good right out of the box. It gave my music a dimension and very good sound. Then after a while something was wrong. I had the volume up to 3/4 and the sound left something to be desired. I E mailed headsave and complained about the 3/4 volume and then thought about getting another amp. Then I realized that the amp had only about 8-10 hours burn in on it and remembered that the super mini amp needed at least 50 hours burn in to sound great. So I burned the transit in for over 50 hours and wow what a huge difference that made. Now the volume is at 11 O'Clock and plenty loud and all the dynamics are there. The amp has slam and detail and I still have not changed the 2 9 volt batt? So if anyone gets the headsave transit amp after a first listen burn the amp in for at least 50 hours and then see how it sounds. LOL.

Hi LOU,
Does this mean 2x9V last more than 50 hours? Did extra 2nd 9V battery make the case any bigger when you ordered it? Did you experience considerable improvement over supermini v6 in sound? Thanks for your attention in advance..

HI: The case is the same size. The batt are lasting a very long time. My 2 9 volt batt are wired the same giving me much more current.

Am I the only member to have the headsave transit amp? I would like to see more post on the amp and other opinions on it.

Man, you seem to get all the new toys there Lou. I'm jealous.

Congrats and I really hope you enjoy the new Grados and this amp for a long time to come.

i don't understand burning in amps at all...the act of burning in is to loosen it or prepare something for regular use, but in the case of an amp...there are no moving parts. what part of the amp are you exactly burning in?

The part between your ears!!

Just kidding.

Some say the power supply caps work better when they have been cycled a number of times. Personally, I say just use the thing normally and any required burn in will take care of itself!
Why deprive yourself of your new toy any longer than you have to?

hey, I just recieved my amp today. Transit also

So far I've noticed no big difference between sounds.
My source isn't the best with nforce2 audio + cd player.

I guess I'll let it burn in.
