What a meeting we had! Allariz is a lovely place to meet. You can see some pictures in Fuzzyshot | auriculares's Mobile Photos. We photo blogged the event "live" with an iPhone .
I'm still in Allariz packing and will return home in a few moments, but I will post more impressions in the next days.

Looks like you had a blast, like usual.
Great looking food/drinks, and of course some nice headphone gear.
I just want to see pictures of the food and the wine. Specially the wine!!!

Who cares about gear when you can talk about wine. Did I mention I like wine?

Can someone tell me what's up with the heavily modded PS-1 alike SR225 ?!
I definitely see more smiles after the wine at lunch time! Are those modded sr225 heavy? That is my main design grief with the PS1s, they are too heavy and make it hard and tiring to listen after a while.

Yes, the modded SR225s are heavy, more or less like the PS1. Not very comfortable. They need a reinforced and better padded headband, issue that I'm sure Picodeloro will adress in the near future.

The mod does not have a "name" still. Picodeloro is calling it SR225 HD (heavy duty), but I prefer PS225 (Picodeloro Series 225) . The resulting sound is nothing short of astounding. A real eye (ear) opener. The sound profile is similar to the PS1, but with the differences due to the driver. The bass improves a lot, as well as soundstage and clarity, the last I think due in good part to the recabling.

This is not another "crazy mod". I think it may be The Mod for Grado lovers in the future. The only drawback is the cost. The mod needs specialized machinery and requires a lot of labor. I do not know if it can be made for a reasonable price. My guess is not, at least in the western countries .

I will publish better pictures in a few days, but meanwhile here you have an advance:

They look great. Look forward to more pics. Is this some special alloy or is it straight up aluminum? I wonder if an enclosure could be done out of Ti that would be lighter....
Those look really nice! Ti would be lighter... and way more expensive?

Here you have some pictures of our meet (at last!)

Hotel AC Villa de Allariz

The group. ¿Are we starting or not?

I do not have many good pictures of the morning. We were very busy and a little tired from the previous night . You can see some more in our iphone photoblog Fuzzyshot | auriculares's Mobile Photos.

Lunch time! But let's do some tourism first.
River Arnoia, just in front the hotel. Allariz is a beautiful place.

The romanic bridge, built in the XIII century, I think.

The river from the bridge

Gardens of Portovello.

Romanic church of Santiago, built between XII and XIII centuries.

Church of Sta. María de Vilanova.

This is our restaurant, A fábrica de Vilanova. Front door.

Restaurante A Fábrica de Vilanova :: Allariz

The moment everybody was waiting for. Food & wine!

The restaurant was an old leather factory from the XVII century.

The restaurant has a pleasant balcony in the upper floor, very pleasant in the summer evenings.

The old romanic bridge was of great strategic importance in the middle ages and was defended by the the Order of St. John of Jerusalem (Knights of Malta).

Arnoia river from the bridge

Portovello restaurant. We had dinner in it during the night. As you can see is a beautiful place, with an extraordinary balcony over the river. The waters are full of trouts

Geese! You must be careful with geese. They are very agressive animals

Another bridge. This one is placed in a very quiet corner of the river.

Allariz streets

Zirall factory. Zirall is a tasty herbs liquor.

Sto. Estevo church

wow what a great meet, I really like the balance of gear and social activities. 2009 may be the year of the headfi US/Europe exchange program.
