They just broke the other day...

I know they aren't made anymore and everyone seems to want too much for them. What are some good replacements for me that won't excel the $80 mark. I want something thats portable enough for when I'm walking around my campus everywhere and constantly slipping them in my backpack... but aren't annoying ear buds that tangle and hurt my ears.

You have to give them time. Most of them are in different time zones and may be asleep when you are awake. They'll help you, that's what this forum is well known for but give it time.

I don't own any of the Eggos, but I did a quick search for Japanese reviews of the D333, and they seem to be generally favorable, stating that they are worth the ~$50 MSRP. It seems that the sound of the D333 seems to be closer to the D33, but I don't know how that compares to the D66. I've also seen reviews of the D777, but, strangely, it seems that those just aren't worth it. I'm not sure if that helps.
