There is a error in PPL's ps:

The fet cs connections should be reversed. On the positive half, the fet's gate-source should be tied to the cathode of the zener and the drain connected to the output of the regulator(lt1085). And on the negative half of the supply, the gate-source should be tied to the output of the regulator(lt1033) and the drain connected to the anode of the zener.

So the fet should look like this(just pretend the transistors are the IC's):

PPL also recommends using a 1-2 ohm resistor at the output regs., before the fet connections.
