There's been lots of discussion about the best solid state amp today—and we've got the good fortune to have the ability to choose from a whole lot of great products, now more than ever. While many of the best SS headphone amps today are supreme in transparency, clarity, speed, and detail, which ones do you think are the most musical??

Yeah, I know it's totally subjective, but I think there's a good many of us (esp. those of us who've been around this scene for a while) know when an amp presents that "something" that engages us in the music... and yes, lots of us turn to tubes for that "something"... but how about some of you solid state lovers weigh-in on which of the top SS amps really gets you into the groove?

Edge. I have a G4, but there's other models. Sooo transparent. Maybe not the highest of high end, but it sounds great.

I like the Grace Design.

The HR-2 is a really musical SS amp. But it depends on what you define musical as. I imagine that the apache would be one up from it.
