The Sony D-FJ401 or 405 are probably best, I think. I have one and it sounds real good. Also comes with an FM/AM/TV/WB tuner. The difference between the two is the 405 comes with a remote (a crappy one, but it can serve as an FM antenna when you go through the L/O to your Corda.

Do a search on the boards for fj401 and read what folks have to say.

Can be had for as little as $80 new.

hope this helps.

hi Kieran!!!

i hope this is still available the moment you read this post.

this is what you must have. maybe you already know this from duncan and purk's posts that this is the best line-out from a pcdp with ESP that you can get. the sony d-e900/905.

it's quite rare but one floats at ebay now and then.

if anti-skip is not a big deal for you, be on the look out for the d-303. but as you mentioned "on the market right now", you could try the new imp-550. but if the "not real" line out turns you off, look around the internet for a panasonic sl-ct570. if you can't find one, i could get one (the jap model with optical out) for you here in seoul (although korean prices are not exactly forgiving that's why i'd suggest ebay first).

happy shopping!!!

Actually the d-515 has the best lineout and headphone out from a pcdp with anti-shock, although its not as portable as the d-e900.

Biggie.

i stand corrected. the d-515 has 3-sec ESP. d-e900 has 10-sec. thanks for the correction.
