Well I have finally decided to upgrade my amp and will be looking for an ASL MG Head. I know that there are a few different versions of the amp, and was wondering which one to look for. Should I buy the OTL or the DT ? What is the difference? Which one is more reliable? Which one sounds better? Thanks.

I would definitely stick to the OTL as opposed to the DT. The newer OTLs (mkII and those made just before the upgrade to mkII) are very good quality. The DTs are the older MG Heads, and with old MG Heads comes quality problems. I would suggest either a new mkII or a used OTL that has been verified as 'good' by a fellow head-fier.

(I purchased my MG Head OTL from a fellow head-fier and it has had none of the common older MG Head problems.)
