iriver 400

i have the iriver 400 and some times it skips to another track on the CD it seems to only do this when i adjust the volume dose anyone else have this problem i hope it stops with the next firmware release it only dose this on some CD's

if your cds are self burned the 400 shows issues with inferior quality cds.

examples would be the player abruptly switching off when attempting to play the track, longer 'load' times & consequently lowered battery life.

IMO, i found the sound coming from them incredibly bassy. if i were to try to use the word 'dark', this would be pitch black. far too much misshapen bloated bass for my taste. and for someone who listens to trance and house often, that's quite a statement. add that to screechy highs that hurt and a recessed midrange, and i had to let it go.

), yes i did burn them in for 48 hours nonstop music of almost all genres before and no i did not use a equaliser except to lower the bass levels.

that's what sony calls "superior soundquality". You must be wrong!

A lot of people already complained about the bloated bass and harsh highs of the mdr-ex70s. If this is still the case, then Sony did not a good job.

not distort, flood.

and IMO, sony's attempts to 'preserve' the details have resulted in the screechy highs.
